A photo manipulated piece which I, with a sense of irony, categorize as "full metal expressionistic". The model is a friend of mine, and the gun and bow was something I found in an antique store. We shot about 100 images which I later picked out about 20 and composed them all together in photoshop
It was quite a hard piece which took over a year to complete. Not that I sat and worked on it for one year, but the concept, feelings and dreams about it never really got into shape. But I finally think I got it right.
It's quite entertaining to look at, because I've used a few optical effects to resemble depth in an untraditional way. "Usually" we blur something that is supposed to be in the background like a macro lens effect. Here I've kind of made "art for two eyes". When focusing on an object in front of you, notice the background look doubled. This technique was partly inspired by the theory of anaglyphical illusions (red/green 3d goggles). However this is without any plug-ins.. It doesn't make it look directly 3d, but I think it gives a sense of shaky movement because of the unexpected composition.
